One of the greatest gifts a mother can give to her children is to heal.
It is not always easy to move away from the past. It is not easy to allow yourself to be loved and to allow yourself to be vulnerable enough to love. Years of unresolved traumas create endless cycles of brokenness.
I had to face the demons of my past so that they would never claim the generation from my womb. We heal to spare the next in line.
About the author
Moleboheng Maseko was born Swati, but raised as a Sotho woman in the Free State. She married her amazing husband and together they have one son. Eunice is her Alma Mater where she learned most of the lessons she continues to carry with her to date.
She's a poet who enjoys spending time in the kitchen and inspiring those around her through the power of her words.
